I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked past this little ballerina and not noticed her (make sure you see 2nd and 3rd pics). I love this about France. So much tiny art hidden that you never notice unless you stop and actually pay attention. Little Easter eggs all over this city

Yesterday I got some really upsetting news and felt totally defeated. But these donkeys (story at the end 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻) and my bf cheered me up. It’s really hard not to give up when you get crushing news in this industry but I don’t have a choice. Experience has taught me that « bad » news now usually ends up being good news later. We just can’t see what happens the day after today so we are totally insane and work on blind faith alone sometimes. . 🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴 . Honestly I’m not sure how I’ve been so resilient over the years other than unrelenting stubbornness and the overwhelming number of kind messages from complete strangers about the impact of my work on their lives. So thank you to everyone who believes in my message and the work that reflects that and for taking the time to say nice shit over the years. You have no idea how much that stuff means to artists. I try to tell artists and people I admire that I love their shit when I think to cuz it’s so important and not something people do enough in general (like with each other not just artists). . 🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴 . Also, right after this picture the donkeys chased off a dog trying to kill a chicken near them and then guarded it for like five minutes until the dog went away and I just about cried. Speaking of which, my partner lets me cry instead of trying to fix me or make me feel better. Which then makes me feel a lot better. Important lesson for me! Cuz I often can be a happiness bully and that is selfish and not cool. . 🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴 . Anyways, this might be our Xmas card one day cuz it’s just so cute. Donkeys are like goofy dogs but in ugly horse bodies. I love them so much. But first I need to get a dog dog , not a donkey dog. That one on the right looks like he’s talking!
