It was in honor of Bastille Day, which is kinda like our Fourth Of July here.
It was apparently HUGE, covering four city blocks, but I got there right when they were shutting down so I missed all the dancing and costumes and stuff. What I didn’t miss, though? All the “french” things they sold, like
lemonade (?????)
french flag cookies
and “french” fries (or freedom fries if you’re a redneck Republican)
I also saw some barets, like this one on a man wearing a ballon monkey.
And my favorite, of course – the French man who was pushing his poodle (who has its haired dyed like his beard) around in a stroller.
