I know it was a couple days ago but this show is still on my mind. They used a catwalk to make fun of catwalks, to call attention to sweat shop labor, to remind us that we are all not doing enough to stop the annihilation of humankind via climate change and to remind us that we are of fundamentally entitled to basic human rights. This is the second time a piece of art here in France has moved me to tears and for those who know me, I am not a crier usually. I love how alive art makes you feel and I REALLY wish the USA respected it more (by way of funding it more... cuz we literally starve our artists until they quit or make it, usually the former). I’m still tens of thousands of dollars in debt from 12 years of pursuing a writing career (hiring editors for two book proposals, shit ton of classes at the comedy theater in NYC, witting classes and workshops, screenwriting classes in LA, etc etc.). Only now do I see an hope of ever making it and I’m still not so sure! We kill our artists off cuz we don’t value them with our tax dollars enough. Anywho, there’s so much art here Cuz they FUND that shit!

Only one more drum club class before our two month summer break. This hobby brings me so much joy. And also lots of super cool friends. Also, they can’t believe how much energy I have. It’s a running joke about how much I bounce. Also, Americans say amazing way too much. But this club IS amazing!
