I forgot how lonely it gets sometimes living on the road. I’m always looking for people my own age to connect with. Dora is great and all, but she’s just a kid. And then there’s the whole cultural barrier thing.
Truck apparently feels the same way and gets lonely as well. No one on the east coast seems to get her.

Somehow, Truck found the only other forest green Toyota Tacoma with New Mexico plates and a roof rack in all of Pennsylvania.
Truck’s new friend was owned by a super nice guy. We became fast friends. Truck and I were both delighted to finally be among peers again.

After a little while, my new friend asked me if I wanted to drive his tractor.
A life long dream finally realized!

Yep, I was born to drive a tractor.

Dora watched the whole thing from the truck.

When we got back on the road, I noticed Dora was acting different

Me: Dorah, what’s wrong, hon? …..Comprende? What —wrong–Dora?

Dora: I speak English Miss (long pause) I’m just disappointed. That’s all.

Me: Okay, don’t even start with me girl. You’re lucky to even be in this truck. I could have left you at that bar with those people beating you up with an umbrella, but I didn’t. (Pics from that story in the future) Being a little ungrateful, aren’t ya?

Dora: No, I’m not ungrateful. I’m just sad. You and truck had new friends, but I was all by myself. Then I got sad watching you drive the tractor because it’s always been a dream of mine too.

Me: Well, cheer up darlin. I have a big surprise for you today. Are you a Star Wars fan? Probably not, huh? They don’t have that in Mexico I’m guessing.

Dora: I’m American, Miss. And YES! I LOVE STAR WARS!!!!!!
Dora got to drive the only STAR WARS replica plane thingy in the country.

Yep, Dora was born to drive a Jedi Plane thingy.

I still can’t believe we found this thing. Best Jedi day of Summer Tour 2009 ever!!!!!!!
